Aberdeen based artist Sadie Main has been printing with Peacock for more than three decades after starting her printmaking career at the now defunct Cyrenians Print Workshop. She was part of their critically acclaimed touring exhibition "Behind The Mirror" (1988) and the print of her dog Benjie was used for the poster promoting the event.

Her work can be found in the collections of Portland Oregon Art Museum, Aberdeen Art Gallery, Peacock & the worm and Grampian Hospital Art Trust. Her Noah’s Arc mosaic is installed at Cornhill Hospital Aberdeen.

This print was made as part of the 7th instalment of the New Aberdeen Bestiary, a three-year-long project seeing the involvement of international artists and Peacock printmakers in realising a collaborative print-based project encompassing a range of artforms, exhibitions and texts.

It emerges from the long-lasting collaboration between artist Sadie Main and Peacock printmaker Jonathan Comerford, a collaboration began in the 1980s at the Cyrenians print workshop, in Aberdeen.
