Willie Rodger was born in Kirkintilloch on 3 March 1930 and studied at Glasgow School of Art from 1948 to 1953. During Rodger’s time at art school only the best draughtsmen got to study graphics and printmaking. By the time he left art school Rodger had sold two prints to the Victoria and Albert Museum.

He worked extensively with Peacock over the years and in 1994 in association with us produced 40 banners for the Union Street bicentenary in Aberdeen. These images became much smaller relief prints with screenprint as the Union Street Folio. Willie sadly passed away in 2018 but his timeless graphic style means the work he made will live on for a long time.
