Bob Batchelor was born in Georgetown, Guyana and when he was 17 studied drawing and painting at Gray's School of Art. He later became Principal Teacher of Art in Aberdeen's Harlaw Academy.
He worked as a painter and printmaker, was a founding member of Peacock Printmakers and a professional member of Aberdeen Artists Society.
