Famed co-conspirator of Hunter S. Thompson, Steadman’s work shares several key personality traits: a troubled relationship with sanity, an anarchic sense of humour, and at its core an unquestionable integrity. Steadman’s wry illustrations are both entirely surreal and endearingly honest.
Made during a long residency stay with Peacock Visual Arts in 90's this etching formed part of a larger suite that recognised writers of influence to Ralph. Amongst them Burns, Burroughs, Proust and Woolf.
