TRY Industries is the design moniker of our print technician Neil Corall. Over the many years he's been designing he's produced posters, t-shirts, record sleeves and prints.
This print uses the wooden letterpress type that is part of the Peacock collection. The shoe is s a vintage advertising block from either Cornwall’s or James Daniel & son, both commercial printers that were present on the Castlegate. The type and block are no newer than 1960 but more likely roundabout the 1920’s but posibly even earlier. The ship is a newly made copper block. The three colours were blended and printed in one pass.
