TRY Industries is the design moniker of our print technician Neil Corall. Over the many years he's been designing he's produced posters, t-shirts, record sleeves and prints.
A lot of the imagery used in his prints is taken from public domain archives, long out of print publications or printed ephemera. Allowing previously dormant images to be re-seen and re-appreciated.
The original image is taken from the book titled “Interamna Borealis: Being Memories and Portraits from an Old University Town Between the Don and the Dee.” by Keith Leisk and was published by The Rosemount Press in 1917. It was digitally edited to remove the title and broken up into three separations which were then laser engraved onto plywood. Each layer was then printed on the proofing press in the Peacock Letterpress Department.
