Peacock workshop member Fiona Swapp is a contemporary artist recognised for exploring the relationship between individuals and the natural elements and objects around them. From a young age, she has been fascinated by the connection between people, plants, and landscapes. Fiona creates her artwork by drawing, painting and printing on a variety of surfaces.
Born in 1965 in Aberdeen, UK, Fiona Swapp pursued her artistic education at Ruthrieston College and attained a Diploma in Botanical Illustration from the Society of Botanical Artists. She also achieved an MA in Fine Art (Painting) at Gray's School of Art.
Recent exhibitions include the Scottish Portrait Awards, Edinburgh; Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize, London; Scottish Fine Art Awards, Glasgow Art Club; SSA 30x30, Royal Scottish Academy, Edinburgh; and the Winter Exhibition, Meffan Museum and Art Gallery, Forfar. The artist currently lives and works in Aberdeen, United Kingdom.
