Our latest print with Ralph Steadman is part of the ‘Picasso 347 Suite Homage’, a series of prints that tribute the Spanish artist by referring to some of his most well-known works. A skilled and prolific printmaker, Picasso worked on the ‘347 Suite’ at the age of 86, completing its 347 prints in six months, in a remarkable burst of late creativity. Steadman was inspired to copy his hero and was determined to go one better by creating 547 images in 5 months.
This latest burst of creativity from Ralph, produces yet another engaging image. Nimble Nudes, a three-plate photo lithograph recreates Ralph’s mercurial response to the moving hand of the late great Spaniard. The new print is limited to an edition of 34, signed and numbered by Ralph in his distinct pen and ink signature and celebrates an enduring 34-year creative partnership between the studio and Steadman.
